Introduction to our new dog Mimi

I was informed that there has been no activity since June. Sorry but we have been in spots that wifi has been nil. We are at the present in Seal Bay RV Park, it is a wonderful park set in the trees with large site, this park is in Courtenay, BC. We love coming here the ocean is so beautiful and people are not in such a hurry. I will have to go to my pictures and see if Mimi is in them.

The big thing in my life now is I am getting my cataracts removed first week of Nov. Wish me luck.

Nanaimo in June

Well here we are in Nanaimo, just to show what we ran into today while doing our job of selling ads. We went into the Thrifty Foods and just before this picture we were able to get an ad from the Manager of this store. to his right is the President of Thrifty Stores and his wife in the blue sweater. What they are about to do is give away $1500.00 Scholarship to six students that have either a mom or dad working at the Thrifty Stores. after the presentation The Manager actually brought us a piece of cake and we helped ourselves to the coffee. All in a days work, so just wanted to share this with you all that take the time to check out our blog that I have been very tardy at. Hope all is going well with everyone and if you have any comments just write us at readient@gmail.com of readient@yahoo.com

Airdrie, Edmonton and now Golden (catch-up)

I am behind by a whole month, so much as happened since being in Calgary. Having lost the star of our blog Mugsie guess it took the wind out of my sails and sales. We moved over to Airdrie for 1 week and I was lucky enough to get a nice hair do from my daughter-in-law Lana at the Mane Image Hair salon. She did a great job foils and a bit of a perky hair style. I will enter the pictures later.
We stayed in Airdrie from April 27th to May 4th, 2008, We had to get enough advertisers to print the Site map guide for the Whispering Spruce Campground and happy to report we did.

May 4th we traveled to Edmonton, Shakers Acres, the first we saw was Todd my youngest Son and it was funny because that weekend all of my children were in Edmonton. Eric at a weekend
mining show Tony my son from Japan with his two sons, Kaito & Sean. My Daughter Tanya and Darin with their 2 sons, Nicholas and Alex. Did get to see and visit everyone except Eric as we had spent time with him and Son Spencer while in Calgary and Airdrie. While we were in Edmonton Tony entered into a singing competition and ended up being in the top 10. While at the Cook County Salon I received a call from my cousin that my brother Dave's son Danny at 38 yrs old was found dead in his room. This was very traumatic for all of us.

Now have been in Golden at the Whispering Spruce Campground in Golden for 6 days and will be leaving for Vernon to see my Sister Marilyn and Bill tomorrow Saturday then on to Rondalyn Resort in Nanaimo on Sunday. We have had ify Wi fi reception making writing very difficult. Will enter in some pictures later. See you down the road....

Calgary West Campground. here till next Sunday

Well it is now 1 week since we came home and found Mugsie with her back legs dragging
We brought her first to the Vet close to the park and she said she thought Mugsie had
Vertebrae damage and said we should go the the Western Emergency Animal Centre they did have the equipment to treat her. We received so much from Mugsie in the close to six years we had raised her that we would give her a chance to live. She was cat scanned and operated on
and we visited her every day. Sunday we heard from the Doctor after his rounds and he said
she was now becoming paralyzed in her front feet as well as the back so we let her go to the great beyond. Knowing that we did everything possible and now will have to cherish her memories.

Fort Steele then Calgary

Well here is our stars of the Blog. We are sorry to say our little Mugsie has lost her life due to Spinal injury that never got better.
Mugsie is the little one on the right. She leaves us with a lot of wonderful memories and has touched thousands of lives. Her walks
were always looking for any humans that were outside of their rigs she would tug her leash to get over to them so they could pet her.
Having been so behind on completing our travels we are now in Calgary West Campground in Calgary and will share a couple of pictures
of the Fort Steele RV resort. next.

Casa Grande Canadian Barbeque

Fun Fun, went to the Sunscape RV Resort for the Canadians gathering for a Barbeque. We met people like ourselves that are full time RVers. It was a potluck and anyone could barbeque whatever they wanted. There was at least 70 people and the day was gorgeous. My sister -in-law Yvonne was the organizer and with a little of my brothers help they did a great job. I have a picture of the event and will post it tomorrow.
