Weekend Over But Not Working

What a life, really don't think I could get used to this, I love working at our semi retirement job.
It gives me purpose makes us money and helps the community we work in. Oh well it will come soon enough as we will be heading back for the Cranbrook area first part of March. Hope we have an early spring....
Back to Las Vegas, well last Tuesday Ray came 2nd in a slot tournament at the Silverton Casino and won $200. We both came in with the highest score in our group so both won a 2 for 1
dinner Buffet. Tomorrow will be a week since our big win and we will try again. If we don't win will still be happy for last week We went out last Friday for their Sea food Buffet and I've got to say it was one of the Best. Yes the over eating has shown up on my waist line but will go back to eating the low carb way with lots of fresh veggies and Protein. The method I like is Kimkins.com which did help me drop 17 lbs. Will put on our old friends from Isagenix that we had the privilege of their company on Friday. We are trying out their new product IsaDelight a chocolate with amino acids. Found out last night don't eat before bed because yes you won't go to sleep.

Monte Carlo Hotel Fire

This is a shot of the New York New York at night there as so many Casino's on the strip and took this photo from the truck as we were driving by. We are watching the news here in Las Vegas and are watching the Monte Carlo hotel burning from the roof it started about 11am and was spreading very much. The firefighters are now on the scene and the smoke has gone from black and spreading to a grey smoke as fire was spreading fast. Thank goodness it was not windy.
Tonight we will be going to the Silverton Casino as they have a wonderful Seafood Buffet and we are going with long time friends from back a few years.

This is a picture of Sheena, Jake and Ashton our Grandaughter her husband Jake and our Great Grandson Ashton. This was taken on Ashton's Birthday Jan 16/08 he turned 2yrs old. Sheena just had her birthday on January 20/08. Just wanted to share our family and their special day.
Sheena has always called me Nanna as it was a pet word my sisters had used for me because they were not able to say Diana when they were young. I was only 40 when Sheena was born so got her to call me Nanna as well instead of Gramma. Now that we have a Great Grandson and at the Age we are he can call me great nanna or great gramma and great grampa. Really enjoy having them in our life. Hope you have the Best year ever. Love always

I have gotten behind on writing in our blog. We arrived at the Oasis RV Resort on January 17, 2008 and will be here until the 31st. Since we arrived we have been busy walking Mugsie and Suzy. Ray went to watch the football at the Mirage Casino and left me to feed the machines.
I have just joined the free Woman's World web club called www.sparkpeople.com it is free to anyone and I think it will be fun to have others doing the same. Will try to download a picture now.

Ray went to play pool today and must have found someone to talk to. Have to go see our new friends as they leave tomorrow for Quartzite for a couple of weeks but might get to see them again when we are at Casa Grande RV Resort. I will try to download a sunset out the back window of our 5th Wheel

Saturday Craft show at Charleston's Peak

Well here it is Saturday and a few people have their crafts out for sale. I set up half a table with my StemEnhance Products in case people are interested in preventative health. I continue to have excellent health after taking the stemEnhance for one week I lost the pain and it hasn't come back since. I am able to walk for miles and without pain. Perhaps I can help even one person.
We went to the Saddlewest Casino for The Seafood Buffet it was Delicious then we tried our luck at Bingo my mothers love when she was alive. We never even got close. Cured me for another few years.

January 1, 2008 The Year!!!

We had a wonderful New Years in We had the count down twice. The first countdown was a the Charleston Peak Clubhouse saw the year in New York time, watched that big ball fall on the count down. Prior to the 9pm our time we had snacks, danced told jokes and sang karaoke. I told the joke about the Man who had lost his eye and had become quite a recluse, but then one day he was widdling and made himself quite a good looking wooden eye. He was feeling pretty good about himself and decided he would go to a dance. He scanned the room and saw a lot of pretty girls but then he spotted a girl that was just sitting, no one had asked her to dance as she had a hair lip. It took him a long time to get the courage up then he went right over to the girl and said excuse me would you like to dance. She answered with Oh WOOD EYE and he retorted with Hair lip Hair lip. Common mistake Any way a few people laughed. After 9pm we went to The Saddlewest and waited till they drew all of the prizes and our names were not one of them. We then went to the Nugget they drew 20 names and again none were ours so we got home around 1 AM. Guess what we will have to keep working for a living.
One thing I got this morning was a cuddle with Mugsie and Suzy. Ray is watching the Foot Ball after we watched the beautiful Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA on TV that is. Happy & Prosperous New Year to you all.
